Shown with wife Clara age 46 and son Vigel, age 6, and stepson Sheridan Miller. I believe this is the James M. Andrews born in Virginia iabout 1824 even though the census says he is 60. I believe that he was a shoemaker born in Warren County, Virginia. He married first Elizabeth Lamb of Rockingham Co., Va., with whom he had six children. He married second Mahala Short. He appears to have married Clara third with whom he had Vigel listed here in the 1880 census. He also lived in Harpers Ferry, WVA and is listed there in 1870 census. I wonder if anyone has information about descendants of James and Vigel (unsure if correct spelling). He was my g-g-grandfather. I am descended from him and his first wife Elizabeth.

DO YOU WANT TO EARN MONEY $(thousands of dollars), HONESTLY, FAIRLY, AND LEGALLY BY USING YOUR COMPUTER? yes? Belive that This is great oppertunity then working labor forty hours a week. just read . If you follow the directions below carefully and honestly, you will make huge money!! you will be rewarded and watch what happens!! It is very SIMPLE !!READING THIS COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE!! This is clear, step-by-step instructions, making it SIMPLE for you to make lots of money without much effort on your part. If you really look into this, you'll see that it works. The initial investment is $6 plus six stamps. Other participants have earned $2,500 in almost 2-3 weeks from following this plan. HERE IS THE ORIGINAL POST ..A while back, I was browsing these newsgroups, just like you are now, and came across an article similar to this that said you could make thousands in CASH within a few weeks with only an investment of $6 plus stamps! So I thought, "Yeah, right, this must be a scam!" But like most of us, I was curious and kept reading. It said that if you send $1 to each of the 6 names and addresses, listed in the article, you could make thousands in a very short period of time. You then place your own name and address at the bottom of the list at NO #6 position, and post the article to a least 200 OR 250 newsgroups. (There are about 32,000 large market pool). . So after thinking it over and over, I thought about trying it.I figured: what have I got to lose except 6 stamps and $6. A much better chance than buying a lottery ticket!!!!!!! So, having these questions answered, I invested EXACTLY $6...and six stamps, right? Well GUESS WHAT!!... Within 7 days, I started getting CASH in the mail!! I was shocked! I figured it would end soon and didn't give it another thought. But the CASH continued coming in. In my first week, I made between $20 and $30. By the end of the second week I had made a total of $1000.00. In the third week I had over $10.000.00 and it was still growing. This is now my fourth week and I have made a total of just over $42,000.00 and it's still coming in...it's certainly worth $6 and six stamps !!!This is due to the power of the Internet!!*** NOTE!!! MAKE SURE you print or download a copy of this article NOW, so you can get the information off of it as you need it. This is a promise that if you follow the directions exactly, that you will start making more cash than you thought possible by doing something so easy!! **Suggestion**: Read this entire message carefully! (print it out or download it.) Follow the simple directions and watch the cash come in! It's easy. It's legal. And, your investment is only $6 (Plus postage) IMPORTANT: This is not a rip-off; it is not indecent; it is not illegal; and it is virtually no risk - it really works!!!! If all of the following instructions are adhered to, you will receive huge money. PLEASE NOTE: Please follow these directions EXACTLY, and $50,000 or more can be yours in 20 to 60 days. This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants. Please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions. You will now become part of the Mail Order business. In this business your product is not solid and tangible, it's a service. You are in the business of developing Mailing Lists. Many large corporations are happy to pay big bucks for quality lists. However, the cash made from the mailing lists is secondary to the income which is made from people like you and me asking to be included in that list. HERE ARE 4 EASY STEPS TO SUCCESS: STEP 1: Get 6 seperate pieces of paper and write the following on each piece of paper: "PLEASE PUT ME ON YOUR MAILING LIST" !YOUR NAME, ADDRESS, EMAIL! Now get 6 US $1 bills and place ONE inside each of the 6 pieces of paper so the bill will NOT be SEEN through the envelope. Place one paper in each of the 6 envelopes and seal them. You now have 6 sealed letters each with a piece of paper stating the above phrase, YOUR NAME, ADDRESS AND EMAIL , and a $1 bill. What you are doing is creating a service. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY LEGAL ! You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it! Like most of us I was a little worried about the legal aspects of it all. So checked it out (1-800-725- 2161) and they confirmed that it is indeed legal.!!! Mail the 6 envelopes to the following addresses: #1)Andrew Hennessy / 12/12 Wilmot Street / Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 7000 #2)Abbas Akhtar / 1-D, Street 3, Askari IV, COD, Karachi, Pakistan #3)Aaqil Amod / P. O. Box 277, Luxmi, 3207, KwaZulu Natal, South Africa #4)Hicham Elammouni / 59 Geleston ave apt 1B ,BROOKLYN,NY 11209 ,USA #5)Antero Kirveskari / Gutzeitintie 15 A 25 / 48100 Kotka, FINALAND #6)Christian Anderson / 2523 abbott rd. Apt. #2068/ E. Lansing, MI 48823 , USA STEP 2 : Now take the NO #1 name OFF the list (DELETE NO #1) that you see above, MOVE the other names up (#6 becomes #5, #5 becomes #4, #4 becomes #3, etc...) and !IMPORTANT ADD YOUR Name and YOUR ADDRESS as NUMBER #6 on the list. Then, SAVE the NOTEPAD after doing this. STEP 3: Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to the original as possible. Now, post your amended article to at least 200 OR 250 newsgroups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites , mirc, discussions. )(I think there are close to 25,000 groups). All you need is 200 OR 250, YOU CAN ALSO SEND MINIMUM 100 EMAILS, !But remember, the more you post, the more CASH you make! This is perfectly legal! If you have any doubts, refer to Title 18 Sec. 1302 & 1341 of the Postal lottery laws. Keep a copy of these steps for yourself, and whenever you need CASH, you can use it again, and again. PLEASE REMEMBER, that this program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants and by their carefully adhering to the directions. Look at it this way, if you are a person of integrity the program will continue and the CASH that so many others have received will come your way. NOTE: You may want to retain every name and address sent to you, either on a computer or hard copy and keep the notes people send to you. This VERIFIES that you are truly providing a service. So, as each post is downloaded and the directions carefully followed, six members will be reimbursed for their participation as a LIST DEVELOPER with one dollar each. Your name will move up the list geometrically so that when your name reaches the #1 position you will be receiving thousands of dollars in CASH!!!!! What an opportunity for only $6 ($1 for each of the first six people listed above). Send it now, Add your NAME and ADDRESS to the list NO #6 position and you're in business!!!!! ---DIRECTIONS---- HOW TO POST TO NEWSGROUPS Step1) You do not need to re-type this entire letter to do your own posting. Simply put your cursor at the beginning of this letter and drag your cursor to the bottom of this letter, and select 'copy' from the edit menu. This will copy the entire letter into the computer's memory. Step 2) Open a blank 'NOTEPAD' file and place your cursor at the top of the blank page. From the 'edit' menu select 'paste'. This will paste a copy of the letter into notepad so that you can ADD YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS to the list #6 POSITION. Step 3) Save your new NOTEPAD file as a .txt file. If you want to do your posting in different settings, you'll always have the file to go back to. Step 4) Use Netscape or Internet explorer Using search engines like Google.com, Dogpile, About, Iwon, Excite, Lycos, Yahoo.com , Altavista.com, AOL.com 'keyword', etc., try searching for various newsgroups (on-line forums, message boards, chat sites, mirc, discussions groups.) It takes a little time to research but there are many out there.!!!!! Step 5) Visit these message boards and post this article as a new message by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting paste from the edit menu. Fill in the Subject, this will be the header that everyone sees as they scroll through the list of postings in a particular group, click the post message button. You're done with your first one! Congratulations...THAT'S IT! All you have to do is jump to different news groups and post away, after you get the hang of it, it will take about 30 seconds for each news group! ** REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWS GROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE Cash YOU WILL MAKE!! BUT YOU HAVE TO POST A MINIMUM OF 200 OR 250 ** That's it! You will begin receiving cash from around the world within days! You may eventually want to rent a P.O. Box due to the large amount of mail you will receive. If you wish to stay anonymous, you can invent a name to use, as long as the postman will deliver it. **JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT.** HOW IS POSIBLE TO MAKE HUGE MONE? WHY PART? Now the why part Assume that Out of 200 OR 250 postings, say I receive only 5 replies for example you get a 5% return, (a very low example) 1) When you mail 200 letters, 5 people will send you $1.00 2) Those 5 mails out 200 letters, 25 people will mail you $1.00 3) Those 25 mails out 200 letters, 125 people will mail you $1.00 4) Those 125 mails out 200 letters, 625 people will mail you $1.00 now here is the fun part 5) Those 625 mails out 200 letters, 3150 people will mail you $1.00 By now your name has dropped off the list, but so far you have received at least $15,625 !!!!!!! With an original investment of only $6 +some stamps....AMAZING!!!!!! ****** Asume that out of 200 or 250 posting 7 replies and you get 7% return (low example) in end you have recived $50.000 above Realy AMAZING When your name is no longer on the list, you just take the latest posting in the news groups, and send out another $6 to the names on the list (SAVE this copy) , putting you name at number 6 again. And start posting again. The thing to remember is: do you realize that millions of people all over the world are joining the internet and reading these articles everyday?, JUST LIKE YOU are now!! So, can you afford $6 and see if it really works?? I think so... People have said, "what if the plan is played out and no one sends you the cash?" So what! What are the chances of that happening when there are tons of honest users and new honest people who are joining the internet and news groups everyday and are willing to give it a try? Remember, play FAIRLY and HONESTLY and this will really work. This is the fairest and most honest way I have ever seen to share the wealth of the world without costing anything but your time! Research show Estimates 80,000 to 100,000 new users, adding per day with thousands of those joining the actual internet. WE ALL KNOW !!!HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY!!!!HONESTY IS BIG POWER OF SCCESS!!! ***[email protected]*** !!!TAKE CARE!!! *Remember, play FAIRLY and HONESTLY and this will really work.

We have not identified Frederick's family although we THINK he must be a brother or close cousin to James Highsmith ANDREWS whose widow, Jane, and their children lived very close to the widow Eliza and her children in Randolph Co., GA in 1850 and 1860. The children had similar names. James Highsmith ANDREWS was the son of William Hill ANDREWS and Leah HIGHSMITH. The earliest ANDREWS I find in that line was William ANDREWS (c1690) m. Another poster has Edmund as the son of a James Andrews born ca. 1754. This poster gives your Edmund as having siblings: Sarah who married James Garner of Amite co., Ms. (my line), William, Warren, MAry, and James. While I have not been able to verify any of this (I am new to this Andrews line) it seems possible. With that being said, one cannot discount the fact that Warren is an unusual name at this time, and that it appears to be a family name amongst these Andrews. If your Edmund is indeed a son of this James, he had a brother named Warren, and a son Jacob Warren. And even further, Edmund's alleged brother James, mentioned above, had a grandson named Warren. Which brings me to my point. There was a Warren Andrews of Tyrell co., NC who died 04 May 1772., and had a son named Edmund. This Edmund should not be confused with the one who married Lucy Curry. But It seems highly likely that your Edmund, and my Sarah descend from this family. Warren Andrews will list the following names: Sons: Levi, Edmund and Etheldred Andrews. Daughters: Millee Blunt, Martha Pearse, Elisabeth Andrews. Wife: Sarah. Three sons appointed executors. Witnesses: William Ellis, Roben Sherrod. Proven before Jo Martin. This family should examined thoroughly, as I believe it holds the truth behind the origin of these SW Mississippi Andrews. Whenever I get the time to, I will research this more. I feel there's a lot left to do. Good Luck, SDM ______________________________

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wm.2ADEB/3041 Message Board Post: I find her listed parents questionable. Chamberlain in his "History of Weymouth" said she was the dau. of Samuel and Mehitable (Goodwin) Andrews of Milton (the parent town of which was Dorchester). She died at Weymouth 10 Dec 1795, aet. 90 (confirmed by Town record.) I do not find her parents listed in Town records of Dorchester, Milton, Boston, etc. Internet sources indicate she was the dau. of Samuel and Mehitable (Trott) Andrews. In this couples' intentions filed at Stoughton 4 Feb 1727, he was of Stoughton, and she of Milton. Their dau. Elizabeth was b. 23 Oct. 1739 in Stoughton. The marriage and birth are confirmed by Town records. There are three major problems with this identification as the wife of John Nash Jr. as I see it. The first is that she would have been 34 years younger than the reported 90 years of age when she died. Secondly, her mother was not a Goodwin. And thirdly, she would have been 34 years the junior of her husband. An alternative identification of Elizabeth Andrews also exists, in the form of a Town record of her birth at Dorchester on 19 Feb. 1707/8, the dau. of a Joseph Andrews. This Elizabeth has three things in her favor. First is her age, her birth being appropriate to her husband. Secondly, her age at death nearly matches Chamberlain's and Town figures. Lastly, Dorchester, her place of birth, was the parent town of Milton. Against her being the correct Elizabeth is the fact her parents are not those cited by Chamberlain. I am not aware of any source material which clarifies her identity. Has anyone an authoritative source for her identity?
