I do not recall seeing anyone answer this. There were no land grants given for CW service -- after all the Homestead Act was passed in 1862 providing for free land for the head of a family. The last veteran land grants were for the Mexican War. Lincoln received one for his short service in the Blackhawk War and used it to claim acreage in Iowa.
