Can anyone help me find information for the NY Cavalry Regiment 6 Company A? A relative of mine, James Shaughnessy, was captured in Culpepper VA and sent to Andersonville on Apr.12, 1864. He died at Andersonville on Aug. 24, 1864. I have not been able to find his regiment on-line anywhere. Any info that could help me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kevin P.
