Enlisted 25 June 1861 from Pocahontas, IL. Discharged for disability on 3 March 1862. William C. Harned - Captain, Co. E, 130th IL Infantry. Commissioned 25 Oct 1862 as a 2nd Lieutenant from Pocahontas, IL. Promoted 15 Feb 1863 to 1st Lt. Promoted 13 Feb 1864 to Captain. Transferred 25 Jan 1865.
