N.E. Ferry (North East Ferry) was in Wilmington, NC. I haven't found it's exact location as of yet. N.E. Ferry was used as a parole point. Since your ancestor was paroled in Feb of `65, chances are very good that he spent time in the stockade at Florence, SC as well as Andersonville.
