    1. [ANDERSONVILLE] Pvt. Carter Jones
    2. Kevin Frye
    3. There are 207 in the Andersonville National Historic Sites databases with the 14th Illinois cavalry. Of these 95 were captured at Sunshine Church. There is no record of Carter / Corter, or any alternate spelling as being at Andersonville. I found him listed in the regimental roster at civilwardata.com but again, no mention of Andersonville or even that he was taken POW. Carter Jones Residence was not listed; Enlisted on 6/21/1864 as a Private. On 6/21/1864 he mustered into "G" Co. IL 14th Cavalry <http://civilwardata.com/active/hdsquery.dll?RegimentAssignment?241&U> He was Mustered Out on 7/31/1865 at Nashville, TN Sources used by Historical Data Systems, Inc.: - Illinois: Roster of Officers and Enlisted Men (c) Historical Data Systems, Inc. @ www.civilwardata.com Kevin Frye Andersonville Historian

    1. [ANDERSONVILLE] card summaries for each Andersonville prisoner
    2. I should also mention for the people posting about relatives who were prisoners at Andersonville that the National Archives and Records Administration on Pennsylvania avenue in Washington DC has in Record Group 249 Records of the Commissary of Prisoners, Entry 108, a hugh card catalog by unit that summarizes all surviving federal records each soldier or civilian held by the Confederacy. The cards for the soldiers are arranged by unit. You can email NARA and request copies of the cards for each person.
