Here is the family of John Head Anderson in the 1880 Federal Census for Precinct 2, Denton Co., Texas: John Anderson, 41, VA, Farming, VA, VA Mary E. Anderson, 26, IL, Keeping House, TN, TN Nancy F. Anderson, 12, KS, At School, VA, IL? Mark Anderson, 6, IL, VA, IL Martin Anderson, 4, TX, VA, IL Samuel J. Anderson, 4m, TX, VA, IL The family moved to Madison Co., Arkansas sometime after 1880. Is your Elisha a younger sibling to Nancy, Mark, Martin and Samuel? I would be interested in learning more about Elisha and his family. Maybe by learning more about the siblings, we can discover new information on the parents. I am descended through Nancy Frances Anderson, whom (I believe) had a different mother than these other siblings mentioned in the 1880 census. Nancy's mother is believed to be Edith Cox. If anyone has anything further on this family, I would be most interested and grateful for the information. Thank you! Dave Duncan Ohio >>> DRL5555@aol.com 11/04/02 01:32PM >>> Hi! I know that Frank and Nancy Anderson lived in Arkansas and their son, Elisha married in Arkansas and then moved his family to IT Oklahoma. He died 12-20-1926. I have no idea where Frank was born or who his parents were. I think we have a possible connection here with Madison County! On the 1880 census in Davie Co. NC is Charles Anderson, farmer, 53 yr.. old. He married Mary E. Anderson, 46. There are 2 daughters listed: Mary E. 17 and Tobatha Ann 15. Does anyone have this family and marriages for both daughters? Also listed along with this family are William G. Sutton 25 and Samuel Sutton 20. These two fellows are brothers and sons of Henry Sutton also in Davie Co. Does anyone have more info about them? Thanks for all help, Gerri Ann
I am very much wanting to find information on my gg-grandfather, John Head Anderson. I show that he was born in Virginia in 1839, later moved to Tennessee (Warren Co.?) where he married and began his family before migrating to Arkansas (Madison Co. area). I believe he was married more than once but only have the name of one wife, Edith Cox. I know the names of two children, Nancy Frances (who married Albert Ashley Waits Dec. 10, 1890) and Mark. If anyone can help me with information on this family, I would be so very grateful. Thank you! Dave Duncan Ohio
