    3. The DNA site is wonderful! I just noticed that if you click on any kit# on the chart it takes you to the text info on each line. I like the way the line of descent is showing for each line. That really makes it nice to see how each donor descends from his oldest known ancestor. I am part of the Whitley Co., KY/Scott Co., TN Anderson family. We have a person from the Daniel Anderson/Rebecca Blakely line that has agreed to test. Those results should be back sometime in August. Hopefully, this person will match to either John Anderson (b. 1758 VA) or Jacob Anderson (b. 1779 VA) and not be a completely different Anderson line in that area. Darlene and Herb, thank you very much for your work on this project. If anyone is interested in DNA testing the link below will take you to the Family Tree DNA page to order your test kit. At the bottom of the page you will find the test kit options and the pricing for our Anderson group. http://www.ftdna.com/surname_join.asp?code=F14889&special=True Mary Lou ----- Original Message ----- From: <Darburns@aol.com> To: <ANDERSON-KY-NC-TN-VA-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, June 02, 2004 3:58 PM Subject: [ANDERSON-KNTV] DNA Web Site > Hi, > > Herb asked me to annouce that the Anderson DNA web site has been revamped and > updated to show the current information that is available. > > I would also like to encourage those that have participated in the DNA Study > to submit your Lineages to Herb at handers@chartertn.net. 1. DNA Web Site
    2. Hi, Herb asked me to annouce that the Anderson DNA web site has been revamped and updated to show the current information that is available. I would also like to encourage those that have participated in the DNA Study to submit your Lineages to Herb at handers@chartertn.net. Herb has asked for your direct Anderson line including dates and places of births, deaths and marriages. This is a very important part of the web site. For those of us in group 6, the Lineage information that Brian K. Anderson submitted has been a very big help to us. Without that information, we would still be stabbing in the dark as to "who" we are. We've still got alot of research to do but Brian has helped us tremendously. So there can be success stories by sharing Lineage information. The website address for the DNA site is http://www.geocities.com/herb194/index.html. Eventually this address will be the main page so please bookmark when you visit. If you're new to the list the Anderson-KY-NC-TN-VA web site is at http://www.mdagenealogy.com/anderson/ If you would like to contribute anything please contact me. Little bits of Anderson information are very useful so please send whatever you can. It might help someone else with a brick wall. Credit is always given to the contributors. Darlene
