Hello all, My gr-gr-grandfather Joel Anderson was b. ca1809/10 in South Carolina. He married Jane Middleton d/o Willis Middleton in Monroe County, Alabama on 1 August 1838. He died there on 28 February 1870. Joel Anderson seems to be a fairly common name. There was another Anderson family in the same area of Monroe County who came from Abbeville. South Carolina. My Middletons came from Marion County, South Carolina. I also found evidence of a Joel Anderson there. I have been at this brick wall for twenty years. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
