Looking for dead ends that may or may not tie into my John Edward Anderson or Arthur NMI Anderson. Family appeared in Durango and all children were sent to orphanages in Colorado around late 1880' early 1900's." My info: Nancy Norris, b. Hancock Co, OH, married Andrew J. Anderson in Kosciusko Co, IN in 1855. They appear to have gone to IL, then to Denton, TX. 1896 bios of Andrew's brother and Nancy's brother, both in Fulton Co., IN indicate AJ&Nancy are in Denton. Another researcher, Diana White in Denton, recently found info that Nancy is buried in unmarked grave at Chinn's Chapel, Denton. There is also a 1901 will for AJ/Nancy as well as an 1896 land record transfer from John Norris, Nancy's father, to AJ Anderson - appears to be his estate settlement. There is a little more info ref John Norris, my gggf. >Enumeration District 102, page 21, lines 12-15 (page 39 A on right hand >side of film) dwelling 191, fam 205 >Anderson, Andrew 49 white male married farmer born Ohio father PA mother OH > Nancy wife 47 white fem married Keeping house born Ohio father OH mother PA > Francis son 21 white male single farm laborer born Ind father OH mother OH > Annie daugh 6 white fem single at home born MO father OH mother OH > >Enumeration District 102, page 27, dwelling 248, fam 263 (page 42 C on >right hand side of film.) > >Noris, John 73 white male widower farmer 8 mo unemp born OH fath Oh >Mother___ > Ambros son 26 white male single farm laborer check born OH fath OH >mother OH > >I checked the marriage records for Denton 1876-1894 and did not find a >marriage record for either Ambros or Francis. > >However, I did find a will for A.
