I have some books written by Swedish immigrant women that came to Kansas. It was very obvious they were very upset by the fact the US made them take their husband's last name. I did notice your to "Ander" children that had married. The dutch also used a similar naming pattern. I kind of like the naming convention in someways. I'm sure that my Casja Jacobsdotter is the daughter of a Jacob....but who knows what his last name was!
