I am stuck at Philip Anderson, born 1770-1780 per census calculations, perhaps in VA. The earliest record of him is his marriage on 24 Feb 1806 to Polly McNatt in Wilson Co., TN. By 1820, they were living in Lincoln Co., TN. He last appears in the 1830 census for Lincoln Co., TN. I am descended from their son, Richard Anderson, who married Martha Unknown (possibly Powell), presumably in Lincoln Co. By 1840, Richard and family had moved to Lawrence Co., MO. Children: Mary, born 1827 in TN; John, born 1830 in TN; Sarah, born 1832 in TN; Green Berry, born 1834 in TN; Elizabeth, born 1836 in TN; Philip, born 1843 in MO; Sophia, born 1845 in MO; and Taylor, born 1849 in MO. Since Philip does not appear to be a common name among the Andersons, hopefully someone will see a connection. Robert Strong
