I agree with Jonnie in SC-- the deluge of discussion that has occurred recently on the Anderson list is great. But, I still haven't seen any clues to my line. I know there are several on this list that are looking for the same line, so I'll throw it out in hopes someone might be able to provide us some help. My gg-grandfather, GEORGE L. MAYFIELD b. 1848 in Covington Co., MS, married MARY JULIA ANDERSON b. 1847 in Smith Co., MS. For a long time I and others had relied on DAR research that tied Mary Julia to James Anderson/Agnes Craig line. But I do not believe that is accurate. So, I am searching for Mary Julia's line again. She is the daughter HIRAM ANDERSON (b. Sept 23, 1826, Ellisville, MS) and MARY ANNE E.DUVALL (b.1821, Jones Co., MS). Hiram is the son of ISAAC ANDERSON (b. ca 1785, place UK) and TERESIA POWELL (b. 1789, Edgefield Co., SC). I don't know anything else about Isaac or his parents. I have seen a number of posts the past days tied to Mississippi and South Carolina. Am hoping someone may have some clue to these people.
