Sarah, I think your right about the census not always being correct. My Anderson line began in Buckingham Co. and moved to Nelson Co Virginia in 1830. The census lists Nelson as his birthplace, but he was born in Buckingham Co. per his death records and per all the research done tracing him back to Buckingham Co. Good luck!
