Not too put too fine a point on the Scandinavian naming conventions (which you may know are still used in Iceland), my Swedish greatgrandparents were both what we would call Andersons -- Anderson for Karl John and Andersdottir for Elisa. In other words, both of their fathers were named Anders. Had they stayed in Sweden, my grandfather Anderson would be a Karlson. Regards, Charles J. (Charlie) Jefferson
