Frances, I belive the proof will be in school records that have been recently found in the Elbert Co. GA Courthouse basement. I remember briefly reading in an issue of the Savannah River Valley Genealogical Society <A HREF="http://www.srvgs.org/">SRVGS</A> newsletter, in an article, ( I have a copy of that article somewhere but I'm in the process of moving again, however back issues of the newsletter can be ordered ) showed that Joseph E. Anderson was a student in an Elbert Co. Poor School ( which is now known as a public school ) it showed that James E. and Elizabeth M. Anderson as the parents. On another note, I think we are going to find our Anderson's as well in Oglethorpe Co. GA also the Mobley's will be found there as well. David Anderson
