Happy Holidays to everyone, I'm looking for a Joseph ANDERSON (gggg'gfather) was b:c1750 ?VA >SC>IL then killed by Indians while out hunting in 1806 in IL with James Curry. Wife Mary (surnameunknown) m:c1768 they migrated to Abbeville, SC had 5 daughters: Jane b:c1794, Marjorie b:c1775, Margaret b:c1800, Mary b:c1763 and Catherine b:c1772 and one son AMOS b:c1783 ---- all kids born in Abbeville, SC Joseph ANDERSON then moved c1790 to Randolph Co., IL and lived in Scotch/Irish part of town.. but wife stayed briefly in SC, as Joseph was a possibly/probably a "trail leader" for westward migration of Rev War Vets claiming IL 'bounty land" for Rev War Service. He served 28 months as a Sgt in Rev War 1779-1781 with Col George Rogers CLARK in the NorthWest IL-IN-KY Campaign, serving in Captain BOWMAN'S unit. He probably developed his SC to IL "trail leader" navigation skills during this time. There are lots of (surname) LIVELY married into my family line.
