James obituary Waynesville Mountaineer 05/07/1990 Services for Betty Anerson James, 61, of Route 4, Waynesville, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Liberty Baptist Church. She died Saturday in Haywood County Hospital. The Rev. Jerry Nelson and the Rev. Doug Hall will officiate. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. at Woody Cemetery in Spring Creek with the Rev. Jimmy Moore officiating. A native of Duluth, Minn., Mrs. James had lived in Haywood County for 30 years. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Silas C. James, Sr., two daughters, Cindy Marie McCracken of Waynesville and Lenn Best of Clyde; four sons, Richard Allen James of Greensboro, Tommy James of Spring Creek, Larry James of Waynesville and Charles "Billy" James of Canton; two stepdaughters, Betty Jannson of Waynesville and Jean Sharpe of Anchorage, Alaska; a stepson, Silas C. James Jr., of Ocala, Fla.; three sisters, Nina Olson, Taye Tajha and Dolly Bender, all of Duluth; a brother, Vern Anderson of Duluth; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9p.m., today at Wells Funeral Home, Waynesville.
