RE: Jim Bryant's Martha J. Anderson I would like to know more about your Martha J. Anderson as this was my g-grandmother's name. She was born ca 1834-1837, she stated in KY. However, I have found no connection whatsoever to her. She married George W. CRANE in Dec., 1853 in Greene Co., IN. I cannot locate her anywhere prior to her marriage. Between 1872 and 1875, George and Martha took their family to IL, why we don't know. They had a son, Horace Edgar CRANE who is said to have been born in Shelby Co., IL in 1875; however, I have no proof of this other than his obit. Martha died in Monroe Co., IN in 1898 but there is not death certificate for her. She and George were first buried in Richardson Cem., Benton Twp., Monroe Co., IN and then moved to Rose Hill Cem., Monroe Co., IN. The first cemetery's records cannot be located. The second cemetery did not complete records concerning the parents, family, etc. because they were supposedly done from the first internment. Does any of this sound familiar? She has been my brick wall for many years. Family stories state that these Anderson's were from Ireland. Martha told her children that she used to go to the "caves" when the "cyclones" came. I'm guessing this would be in KY, TN, VA, or MO. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Judy Hill
