I am trying to find living relatives from the Anderson side of my family. My grandfather (Andrew Peter Anderson, b. 7/23/1877) ran away from home at an early age and I have no contact whatever with others from his family. His family left Sweden in 1875 and came to Cheriton Iowa by 1881 (when they joined the Lutheran Church there). His father was Karl August and his mother was Lisa (or Elisa) Greta. According to Swedish records, the entire family left for the U.S. from Edshult parish in Jonkoping Lan (county). The children born Sweden were Anna Sofia (b. 7/7/1859), Johan Anton (b. 9/16/1861), Karl Frederick (b. 3/16/1966), Jonas August (b. 9/10/1868) and Gustav Alfred (b. 9/3/1871), Only Jonas and Gustav are reflected in Cheriton church records. Another son, Herman, was born in the U.S. on 1/9/1879. Anna Sofia may have married a Charles F. Sandahl 4/8/1879.
