I am trying to trace the ancestry of my maternal great-grandfather, Charles Enoch Anderson. He was born Dec 7, 1877 in Laurelton, NJ (now Brick Township); married Mary Ethel Emmons (daughter of Hiram Emmons and Mary Jane Potter of Freehold) on Nov 26, 1903; and died in 1950. I am told by family sources that his ancesters lived in Bayville for several generations. Bayville is now a part of Ocean County, but was part of Monmouth County prior to the mid 1800's.
