I must confess........I just found a web site which includes the Anderson in Alaska show my mother told me about. Unfortunately, she got things a bit confused. The Anderson was Oscar not Roscoe; and it was Anchorage not Fairbanks. Sorry for the false alarm, hope you didn't spend too much time & thought in the matter..........:( Lisa Hello, all, My mother was viewing a program like 'This old house' where they were in Alaska fixing up the house of ROSCOE ANDERSON who had a grocery store for miners in the Alaska gold rush (ca. 1897-98). She said the photo of Roscoe Anderson bore an amazing resemblance to her father, Omer ROSCOE Aurand (whose mother was Kathryn ANDERSON). Coincidence????? My research has not indicated that Kathryn Anderson had a brother or uncle by that name, but who knows for sure. Does anyone out there know anything about Roscoe Anderson of Fairbanks, Alaska?
