Time to post again a query about two Anderson women, probably mother and daughter, who sit atop my brick wall. The elder is Ann T (probably for Talitha) Davis, who apparently had been married first to a man named Anderson. She is found living with Willilam and Ann Anderson Bennett in a rural area of Williamson County, Texas, in the 1860 census. She gives her birth place as Kentucky. Ann Davis supposedly had married a man named James or Jim Davis who may have killed himself a short time earlier in Williamson County. Ms. Davis' name appears on several real estate transactions in that county, No further trace has been found of her in either cemeteries, marriage licenses, census records, etc. Ann Anderson Bennett, who birthdate of March 17, 1843, is found on family Bible records, also lists her birthplace as Kentucky. We know her previous name was Anderson, found on marriage license in Georgetown. When her husband dies in a Yankee prison camp, she removes to Limestone County, Texas, and later marries Thomas Sharp, a CSA veteran. I can find no trace of either of these Anderson women in Kentucky. My question is, does any Anderson researcher have two missing Anns? Any help or leads would be appreciated. love joan
