I am more optimistic now than about an hour ago that the John Anderson family listed in my prior email is related to my 2nd great grandfather, Sven Petter Hansson. The ages of John and Louisa in the 1870 Census match the ages that I have for John based upon his Swedish birth record. The 1860 census has this couple 10 years younger than they should be. In fact, John Anderson and Louisa are listed as 45 and 43 respectively in 1870 which fits in with my info, and the 1880 Census also bears that out. If this John Anderson in Lucas Co., IA is who I believe him to be, his full name is Anders Johan Andersson, born 30 Apr 825 in Pelarne Parish, Kalmar, Smaland, Sweden (should be two dots above the "a" in Smaland). He would be the nephew of my Sven Petter Hansson, also born in Pelarne Parish, in 1812. The children in 1870 are listed as: Albert 16 Mary J. 14 Catherine 12 (listed as Ellen in 1860) Louisa 10 (listed as Adelia L. in 1860) Andrew 7 Sarah 5 If anyone has anything on this family I would greatly appreciate your contacting me.
