Do you have any information on a Henry Anderson (middle name supposedly was Rose) that married Elizabeth Roe Balch in 1809 at Russelville, Logan KY? Supposedly Henry was born in Tennessee, but I am not positive this is true. I do know that Elizabeth Balch was a daughter of Rev. James Balch (Rev. Hezekiah James Balch?), and that the Rev.'s family came from Maryland and supposedly settled in Greenville TN before moving to Indiana. Henry Anderson died in Parke County between May 2, 1846 when his will was written and Jan 15, 1847 when it was probated. His wife Elizabeth Balch Anderson died in Indiana in 1863. Henry and Elizabeth Anderson's children included: Margaret Ethelinda, Angeline S., James C., William W., Granville Washington, John Moreland, Eliza and Henry Harrison. Most or all of these children settled in Indiana and Illinois. Early Anderson's from Greene County TN include Barnabas Anderson and Daniel Anderson (1783 tax list), but I am unable to connect Henry to these Anderson's. I am trying to find out Henry's parents as well as whether or not he truely was from Tennessee or possibly that he came from Logan KY where he was married. Any help on this would be appreciated.
