Thanks for the reply Roger ( my first name is Roger too by the way ). My John Anderson lived and died in Caswell County, NC. He is buried at Stoney Creek Church in southern Caswell, just outside of the township of Anderson, which was named for his son Quinton. Legend has it that " they came form Pennsylvania with the Reverend Hugh McAden". However, even though Johns will is documented and there references to him in the Tax list for Caswell County, there is no proof of where he came. Did he in fact come from Penn, with the many other Scotch-Irish. Some have speculated that he came directly from Scotland by way of Penn, others have said he may be an Ulster Scot. Oh well, the search continues. Unfortunately ( or I should say fortunately ) this is the only solid brick wall I've hit since researching my Family. It just so happens unluckily to be my surname.
