Patricia, Do you know anything about his bros & sisters? I have a Thomas Anderson (Gr-gr-grandfather) who married a Waxhaw woman named Akelio, probably in the 1850's - 60's. My grandmother, their granddaughter, was born in 1889. Her mother was Nora Anderson, who married a man named McQuay, who was supposed to have been a Union soldier.
