Since more people seem to be participating in the list of late, I thought I would try again to see if anyone can give me a lead on my research. I am trying to find out something about the background and forebears of HARVEY ANDERSON, who died about 1874 in Washington Co., IA. His wife's name was SOPHRANA KETCHUM, and she died about the same time. They had the following children: NELLIE (WALLACE) WILL GIBB CARRIE (CHALMERS) CHARLES b. 1872, d. 1947, married MARY EVA PAUL b. 1872, d. 1939 There may have been other siblings. I suspect that the Andersons were Associate or Associate Reformed Presbyterians. Harvey and Sophrana died when at least some of the children were very young. Charles Anderson, my great-grandfather, was raised by a family by the name of DIHEL. The family home, at least of the time of Charles' birth, was in or around Ainsworth, IA. Bob Scott
