This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Anderson, Omohundro Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/5519/Wl.2ADIB/8732.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Here's MY brick Anderson wall: Seley Edgar Anderson born 1863, Murray Township, Northumberland, Ontario Canada. Wife Katie unknown. Two children Philip Edgar Anderson and Katie Anderson. Father John Allen Anderson born 1840, Murray, Northumberland, Ontario, died 1902 place unknown. Wife Sarah McNary, born 1839 Canada, died 1871 place unknown. Married 1860, Ontario Canada. Children: Margaret Marie Anderson, b. 1861; Seley Edgar, b. 1863; Oron Gerald Anderson b. 1864 {Wife Mary Stewart}; Joshua Jeshoran Anderson, b. 1868. Apparently, Sarah's family came from Berne NY, father Seley McNary, lots of kids. They then went to Iowa in time for the 1910 or 1920 census. Oron Gerald Anderson and Wife Mary Stewart{b. 1865} married 1902, had kids: Walter Stewart Anderson, b. 1903; Charles Henry Anderson, b. 1904; William Ernest Anderson, b. 1904 {apparently twins}. My Brick Wall: Is this family in general and Seley Edgar Anderson in particular related to or the same as my Seley E. Anderson found in St Louis 1910, stated naturalized 1890, but no record found of him before 1910. Wife could not or would not record my Seley's parent's names at time of death. My Missouri Seley Anderson b. 1862 in English Canada, d. 1915, St Louis MO. Wife Ida Omohundro {b. 1875, d. 1937} married 1901 St Louis MO. First child listed in 1910 census is two years older than the marriage, his name is Edgar Anderson b. 1899 {MO is listed, but is it really MO?} If this si the same man as the Canadian Seley, then I would think this is Philip Edgar? Other sons are Charley Anderson, b. 1904; Oren T. Anderson, b. 1906; Cecelia Hazel Anderson b. 1910. Missouri Seley's obit lists two other children Frank and Ma-something or other {the obit was torn, more's the pity}. Getting information on this man is like pulling hen's teeth! I want very much to include a connextion with these two men, based on similarities of births, of names, of places. Also, in the same burial plot -- Calvary Cemetery -- is Katie Anderson, died 1901, the same year Missouri Seley married Ida Omohundro. If they are connected, this would be first wife Katie. Oh, what a tangled web we deceive, when first we try to unweave!
