Is anyone researching the family of John & Charity WATSON Anderson & their children *Jesse*, Thomas, Miles, Nancy ANDERSON Smith, & Bett ANDERSON Smith of Wayne County, North Carolina (& other counties)? Jesse moved from North Carolina to Darlington Co., South Carolina by 1810 & died there in 1846. Lena, I am tracking a John & Charity Watson Anderson in Granville County in about 1759-60, marriage in 1761. This John was father of a James Anderson, a Revolutionary War pension applicant, in Tennessee in 1832-33. Paul, I just started researching my Anderson family (I am so lucky two separate lines of Anderson's, one goes with one of my six Williams lines..lol) on my Simpson side & would love some pointers since this is such common surname. I found John's will after going through the Wayne County page on USGenWeb, thought I would never find this. Not to sound rude, but why doesn't he mention James (or did the person who typed it make a mistake)? Also two last questions, hope you do not mind...is there an actual listing of Grandfather John marrying a Charity Watson (or an documention as to her name) & is Barnaby McKinney related to the Anderson's in any other way besides being a friend (he is related to my Lane families which is why I am wondering about this)? What can you tell me about James? I don't want to leave him out of the family tree I am typing-up. Sincerely, Lena "Paul K. Anderson, Jr." <pka@optilink.us> wrote: Lena, I am tracking a John & Charity Watson Anderson in Granville County in about 1759-60, marriage in 1761.
