    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wl.2ADIB/3699.4073 Message Board Post: Does any of this sound familiar? I don't have a clue where the Pinkney came from, but have always wondered. George Pinkney Anderson b: 1859 in MS. His parents were Tilman Thomas Anderson b: 1829 (don't know where, suspect GA, SC) and died in TX 1918. He married first Mary Wilborne in Itawamba MS in 1949. Other children besides George Pinkney were James Albert, Marshall, Dock, Frank, William, Ellen, and E.J. Many of the brothers moved to Texas, and father Tilman followed them later. Evidentally Mary died sometime before 1872, and he remarried Mary Harwell. All children but last were born in MS, last was in TX in 1883. (Elizabeth, L.S., L.V., L.B., Fannie V. Mary, and Edgar). The farthest back I have is a guess. I am guessing Tilman Thomas Anderson was a junior, with his father being Tilman Thomas Anderson who married Martha Baxter. A distant cousin is trying to place them in Georgia. A land grant was made to the son, so she is guessing maybe Tilman died shortly after his son was born, so no other sibs to try to locate. I don't know when Tilman (jr) went from GA to MS, but again, earliest we have is when he married in 1849. Thanks for any clues. [email protected]
