Seth Anderson married Mahala McAdams April 12,1832 in Harrison Co.,IN. On the 1840 Census for Vermillion Co.,Indiana,Seth Anderson of the age twenty and under thirty,2 females under five years,and one female of the age of twenty and under thirty.In the household next to Seth,is Seth Anderson,Sr. On January 5,1847,Seth Anderson married Barbary Ann Ransdell,nee Sellers. (She was married first to Sanford Ransdell.) In 1850 it seems that Seth was residing in Wayne Co.,Iowa. The following is in his household: Seth Anderson age 36 b.OH Barbara age 27 b.IN Rebecca A. age 16 b.IN Mary E. age 12 b.IN Harlon H. age 10 b. IN (I am not sure of the spelling of his first name.) Albert age 8 b. IN Candace age 3 b.IN Howard age 6/12 b.IN It would appear that Rebecca and Mary were from Seth's first marriage. In 1860,Seth is in Barton Co.,Missouri. Seth Anderson age 43 b. OH On the next space they have unoccupied,but on the next line is Barbary Anderson age 35 b.IN Rebecca A. Anderson age 22 b.IN Harpin H.H. Anderson age 18 b.IN Albert G. Anderson age 16 b.IN Candace Anderson age 13 b.IN Howard A. G. Anderson age 11 b.IN Lafayette Anderson age 8 b.IN George F. Anderson age 5 b. Missouri In 1870,Seth is found in Little River Co.,Arkansas. Seth Anderson age 53 b.OH Caroline Anderson age 35 b. Arkansas La Fayette Anderson age 16 b.Iowa George Anderson age 16 b. Missouri Sarah Anderson age 6 b. Arkansas Nancy Anderson age 10/12 b. Arkansas By 1880 Seth was deceased according to your info. I have not been able to find Caroline on the 1880 census,but did find what appears to be Seth's son along with some of his half siblings in Denton Co.,Texas: Harren Anderson age 31 b.IN Jane E. Anderson (wife) age 21 b. Arkansas Lizzie Anderson (dau.) age 4 b. Texas James Anderson (son) age 1 b. Texas Sarah Anderson (Hsister) age 16 b. Arkansas Carrie Anderson (Hsister) age 7 b. Arkansas Oliver Anderson (Hbro) age 5 b. Arkansas Jeff Graves (BroL) age 14 b. Arkansas I believe that all of these census pertain to the same Seth Anderson and his family.I am still trying to prove that this Seth is the son of Seth Anderson born ca.1775 and died in 1856 in Boone Co.,Iowa.
