I am still looking for antecedents of Samuel Anderson, b. MA between 1769 and 1782 possibly son of Archelaus Anderson and second wife, Sarah. Archelaus died of small pox in West Point (N.Y.?) in 1782. A Mrs. Sarah Anderson died in Newstead, Erie County, N.Y. in 1835. Samuel settled in Erie County, N.Y. in about 1812, m. Jane Morris/Maurice and had several children, one of whom was Clarissa Jane who married Hiram Crowell. This latter couple lived in N.Y., Ontario, Canada then removed to Michigan. They died in Hillsdale, MI. Any clues to these Andersons would be much appreciated. Alice T.
