Hello Margie, Did you ever have a noise go over your head and finally say, DUH!? I pulled the AIR-ow out. THis James Anderson is the originator of the following information.Yes it is a typo, I really do not have a tremendous amount of information. But, I know he is a Virginian by birth and death. I am guessing he was born cira 1740-1750. These are the leads I am going on: Anderson, James (N. J.). Captain New Jersey Militia in 1777 Name: James Anderson Comment: Captain in Col. John Johnston's New Jersey Regiment in 1756, in which capacity he served until regiment was disbanded. Court Name: Frederick Co. Court Date: 08 Mar 1780 Virginia Colonial Militia, 1651-1776 Certificates Anderson, James (Va). Captain and Major Virginia Militia in 1777 and 1778 I have some othe information but unable to access at this time. This may be (And probably is) one in the same person. I am trying to find as much information as possible the easy way before I have to dig in. Best regards, Doug
