I just posted this several days ago but you never know maybe ROLL CALL will spark interest. Sorry for repeating myself so soon. I am trying to help my sister-in-law, Sylvia Anderson, find any relatives she may have somewhere in the world as she is all alone and searching for her roots. The only thing she knows is that her father was born Vaino Armas ANDERSSON in what she thought is called Pori, Finland. Vaino was born May 5, 1911and his father was Isaac and that is all she knows except he came to America in 1941 on a boat. Vaino ANDERSSON met and married, Ida Maria PANANEN in NY City--she was known as "Mary." They moved to an Island in the Thousand Islands, N.Y. Their closest post office and mailing address was Clayton, NY. Vaino dropped one S from his name and legally became Vaino Anderson. They had a son who died as a boy as he drowned in the Island's water, and they had Sylvia 5 Jul 1945. Vaino Anderson died Feb. 1970. . She did say that she believes her father may have had a brother named Lauri and she believes he may have stayed in Finland and he may have had children.
