John Washington Anderson (b. 2 Aug 1846, McDowell Co., NC - d. 18 May 1928, Fannin Co., GA). John joined the Union Army in 1862 during the Civil War at 16 years of age. He served three years as a Private, and is officially listed on the rolls of Co. A.(Union County, GA) of Col James Brown's 1st Georgia State Troops Volunteers. Glenn A.
