    3. I'd asked why you murdered the Indians. Donald Anderson, Glasgow, Scotland > Those of us in the USA will soon be celebrating Thanksgiving. 2. Richard B. Anderson, Jr.
    3. Hello, Since my ANDERSONs are one of my roadblocks, I'd invite my 3rd great grandparents, Caleb and Nancy (FIRESHEETS) ANDERSON to dinner. I would ask Caleb who his parents were and where they came from. I'd ask Nancy the same thing, except I already know a little about her father's origin. I'd want to know his town or village name [I already know the German state]. I'd want to know Caleb's parents' names and full place(s) of origin. If anyone knows about the ANDERSONs of late 1700s-early 1800s southern Virginia, please write. Best wishes, Richard Blair Anderson, Jr., Danville, Virginia Where the temperatures say it is Indian Summer during the day and Fall/early Winter at night -----Original Message----- From: donald anderson [mailto:donald.scotrepublic@ntlworld.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 08, 2005 12:33 AM To: ANDERSON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [ANDERSON-L] LISTOWNER POST - Thanksgiving Dinner I'd asked why you murdered the Indians. 3. I know, but think of the poor natives, especially the 600 who died in the long house, after helping the settlers. As historians we have to take these things on board. Many Anderson married into native tribes, not such a big step from the clann system that suffered a similar fate. The current issue of the "Andrean", journal of the Anderson Association may be of interest to some, as would the Association. Here is the contact addy for David W Anderson. I contains a history of the variations of Anderson tartans. dewa@lord-everingham.freeserve.co.uk > Don, that was cruel, irrelevant and in extremely poor taste... J
