I am in possession of a small book in a language unknown to me and it has two names on the flyleaf. One of them is Schua J. Anderson. I'm not sure of the spelling of the first name because of the handwriting. There is a date of Sept. 18th, 1901. On the front of the book is written: KATEKES OCH BIBLISK HISTORIA There is no ISBN, but the third page says: Entered, according to the Act of Congress, in the year 1879, by The Board of Directors of Augustana College and Theological Seminary, Rock Island, Ill., in the Office of the Librarian of Congress at Washington, D.C. A notation at the bottom of the same page: Lutheran Augustana Book Concern, Rock Island, Ill. If this book belonged to someone in your family, I would love to send it to you. Betty Jump
My guess is that the book is in Swedish. I have several letters and other books from my husband's family that are in Swedish (he's an ANDERSON, too.) --------------------------------- Discover Yahoo! Stay in touch with email, IM, photo sharing & more. Check it out!
Just for fun I have a sister born Mona Anderson. We live in Sioux City. We think we are Scottish. My dad never knw his father and Grandmother divorced him in 1907 and never left any pictures or info. Guess you know how easy it is to track the name Anderson.
