    3. Brian, These are William Anderson's children: Christina J., b. 1826, Carnwath Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland - she is listed as Christina in my family bible, but as Christian in christening records. James, b. 1828, Carnwath Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland John, b. 1830, Carnwath Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland Robert - I have Robert listed in my family bible, but I can find no records of him elsewhere Margaret, b. 1835 David, b. 1837 - David served with the Illinois Company E, 98th Infantry in the Civil War. He was killed by a shot to the head in Selma, Alabama on April 2, 1865. Thomas, b. 1840, Washington County, Ohio - my g-great grandfather Samuel, b. 1842 You mentioned Census records from 1850 - are those for AFC Anderson, or William? The first census record I have for this family is in Crawford County, Illinois in 1860, and William isn't listed with them (I assume he died before then). I haven't looked in Ohio yet. 3. Shelly, These names do not fit anywhere in my tree, but then again, as far as I have gotten that I am certain of is my A.F.C. Anderson married Minerva Jane Bright in 1846 (Actual marriage certificate) from Marion County Missouri. On this license, it lists that groom is of Shelby County Missouri (adjoining county). I am sure you know that Marion County Missouri is just across the river from Illinois. In my Shelby County census lookup, there is a William C. Anderson: 1 male age; (under 5) and 1 male (20 and under 30) and 1 female (15 under 20). I hope this may help.
