Surnames: HORN, ANDERSON, ROBINSON Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wl.2ADIB/8657 Message Board Post: Oral family history says that Anna Anderson, from TN, raised a Cherokee girl abandoned on the Trail of Tears, perhaps in Arkansas. The girl was Nancy J., my gg-grandmother, married to my gg-grandfather, Joseph Horn. They named their first son, James Harvey, and their last son Mack Robinson. Later, Mack named one of his sons Bert Robinson, leading me to believe Robinson is a family name from somewhere. I don't know if Nancy J. was the child's name when Anna got her, or if that's what Anna named her. Was Robinson Anna's maiden name? Could she have known that the biological parents were named Robinson? The possibilities are endless. Thanks for any help.
