Did learn yesterday that there are other ANDERSONs connected to siblings of various g/g/g etc etc grandparents of mine, in different generations from the early 1700s down to the 1900s. I couldn't tell you what relationship they are to me, without a great deal of work to figure it out. None are directly connected to me. Two of my direct ANDERSON lines originate (for me) in Shetland and that is where the connections to the others are. I was checking Tony GOTT's Shetland FHS site to see if anyone else had contributed more to our own tree and decided to check out the known siblings (from the beginning) to see who their descendants were. I was looking for connections to a couple of other names found c1852 -1900 in our family, as I don't know their origins. One of the names I know is found in abundance in Shetland, but our connection to the name is found in Glasgow, to one my Shetland families, who went down to there c1860. If anyone has Shetland connections, Tony's web site is the place to go for data/information. He has done a tremendous job with it, adding data all the time. Sorry I couldn't help you Donald. My aunt, born 1920 Glasgow, was named Jessie Anderson REIDFORD, named for her 2 x great-gran .. Jessie ANDERSON who married 1838 to William TOUGH in Forgue Aberdeenshire. That aunt married a Glasweagian and eventually moved to Surrey and has since died. Cheerio for the now .. Toni ~ Ontario Canada
