    3. Hello, Paul - Jesse Anderson is a family name on my mother's side and I would like to know if you have any information on the descendents of the children listed in your message below (Lawrence, James, George, William James and Jesse). My great-great grandfather, Jesse Anderson, was born about 1856 in NC to John L and Mary Anderson. I realize this is a lot later than your Jesse, but thought the name might have carried down. Thank you, Blanche Wallace -----Original Message----- From: Paul D. 2. Where were your Anderson's from originally. My Samuel Anderson was from PA as per census and he married Phoebe/Phoeba Clutts, she was kin folk to the Sailor's in Pike County Ohio. Samuel b: 1842 and died while living in Scioto Twp, Pike County prior to 1900 Census. Phoeba was livingin Scioto Twp in 1900 and widowed. Their children were, Jededia aka Jeddie, Jed J.C. Clarence J.) and Irving, Floyd, William, Eliza Dora who married a Brushart of Pike County. Do you think they could have been related to your Anderson's. I found a James and Nancy Anderson with a Son Samuel living in Marion Twp. the age would of been the same as my Samuel. But can't confirm this is his parents. 2. My Thanksgiving guest would be either (or both) my grandfather Douglas Anderson. He always wanted to know about the family history and was skeptical anytime someone contacted him to say they were related. He died in 1994 and never knew that most of the people trying to contact him were truly part of the family. "Grandpa we have made contact with five other branches and are still growing. Oh and Grandpa please pass the mashed potatoes". The other would be my g-g-g-g-g-g-g grandfather John Anderson he is the farthest we have gone back to. I would to ask truly how many children he had. We know of ten but seem to be finding more. Who was is father and mother. Did he have any brothers or sisters? Grandparents? We just need to know about a 40-50 yrs gap then we could go back from 1741 back to 1649. Help us out. Also More turkey and please pass the green bean casserole. Check out my Anderson web site at _www.scottishandersons.com_ (http://www.scottishandersons.com) Happy thanksgiving to all Charles Anderson

    3. My Anderson Thanksgiving guest would be my wife's GG-grandfather, Jacob Anderson. My questions would be where was he born, who were his parents, and was he the only one of the family to move from Scioto Co., Ohio, to Randolph Co., Illinois. Family records list Jacob's birth as 4 NOV 1785 in up-state New York while the 1850 census lists 1883/84 in Deleware. Jim

They all lived in Beaver County, PA. Anybody else researching Andersons in Beaver County? Thanks Judy Anderson

    2. ALICE THOMPSON
    3. I can't imagine that all the Andersons are from the South! Archaelaus Anderson was in Chester, Mass. active in the pre-Revolutionary War fighting. He moved there in 1761, had child or children and wife died. He remarried Sara, had more children and died in 1782 of smallpox at West Point. I am hoping my gggrandfather was a son, Samuel, who bought land from the Holland Land Company in Erie County, New York about 1808. Samuel was married to Jane Maurice/Morris and had children. Anybody out there with these names in their ancestry? Alice

    3. Hi Kerry... The LDS records show that my GGrandfather, Martin, was the son of Garrison Anderson. I have a ton of info on Garrison. He married Shara Elizabeth Cates 13, Sept 1918, in Caldwell County KY. Harrison died May 1844 in Center TX. I have a copy of his will. I have my doubts about Garrison being my GGrandfather. It is one of those things, I can not prove it or disprove it. he indeed have a son Martin, but I am not sure it is the same one. There was MV Anderson(Martin Vanburen) that was a Texas Ranger and died in Vanzant Co. TX. I think that was Garrison's Martin. I noticed you do not have a Martin in your list of Andersons.
