I too am researching Anderson's who were in Pike County Ohio. Samuel Anderson b: about 1842 married Phoebe Clutts. Need to know who Sam's parents were.

Would love to find out more about Mary Foster Anderson, born 1849, died 1933. She married Donald Thomas Nisbett in 1878 in Stepney, then in Middlesex, England. Mary's Father was Thomas Anderson ( no detail other than he was a Packer?). Donalds was born 1851, died 1887. His father was Andrew Nisbett (no detail other than he was a custom House Officer in Naine, Scotland). Mary and Donald had two children I know of - Donald Thomas, b1885, d1968 & Mary Elizabeth b July 1887, d Sept 1887, 10 wks old) At the time of their marriage they lived in 2 Wellington Place, I assume Stepney. My brick wall is my gggrandfather Andrew J. Anderson who is said to have dorn in Adairaville,Barton,Ga. on Sept. 14, 1842. There is talk of him beening an ophan. He married an Ellen Hibberts on Oct 31, 1872 in Barton, Ga. She is thought to be the daughter of Cornelious and cynthia L. Hibberts of Barton. I have found very little about my ancestor, George Anderson. According to Teunis G. Bergen's book on the Bergen family history, he lived in New York and married Jackemjntie Gerritse [Van Duyn] in 1718. His name was apparently spelled Annderzy or some variation thereof by the Dutch. I read in another source that he may have been from Scotland. The source offered no proof so I consider this to be merely speculation. He has been one of my dead ends ever since I started looking into my genealogy 12 years ago. I have found a lot of info in the censuses and elsewhere in Ancestry.com---looks like 1/2 the Wyatt's were actually Street's; and yes Sidney married first a Dunaway then a Wyatt, most of her kids were Dunaways not Wyatts. Your Dalton Anderson's father was Richard whose father was William, and there were a couple different wives in there too. All mostly lived in TN, Stewart Co. and some the town of Dover [Henderson Co. if I remember correctly]. I am looking for Mary's maiden name and the parents of both John L and Mary. John L was born about 1816 in NC and Mary was born about 1817 in NC, according to census records. Their children were: Miram/Miriam (~1837), Lavinia (~1839), Rachel (~1840), James M (~1842), Mary A (~1852), Jesse P. (17 Feb 1856). My line is through Jesse P Fernando Anderson who wed Mary Ann Queen in Clay County NC on 24 Jul 1873). The children of Jesse and Mary Ann Anderson were: Lula (b 26 Dec 1873), Forrest (b ~1877), Nancy Z (b ~1879), Loma (b 7 Apr 1881), Gertrude Mae (b 25 Nov 1881), Magnolia (Nola) (b ~1883), Blen (b ~1885) and George S (b 26 June 1888). All the preceding are females, except George. In 1880 or soon after the Jesse Anderson family moved to Bartow County, GA and settled near Cassville. All their children married and remained in Georgia. Jesse and Mary Ann are buried in Cassville Cemetery along with Gertrude Anderson Yarbrough, Lula P Anderson (wife of George S), and two persons believed to be John L and Mary (parents of Jesse, et al). Lula Anderson married William Joseph Hall (these are my great grandparents); Forrest married Joseph C. Lowery; Loma married Howard Holmes; Gertrude Mae (Gertie) married E V Yarbrough; Magnolia (Nola) married Julius Greene; Blen married Alex Presley and George S married Lula unknown.
