    3. hi, a queery??? I am interrested to find out if any of these Andersons are related to the Anderson that went to the Mauritius. They came from Scotland, married, had children, and later grandchildren. William Anderson and his wife came from the Mauritius in the 1880's to Australia with 11 children (2 more were born in Australia). As the christian names mentioned are the same as in my line, I am curious to find out if there is any relationship. If anyone has the lineage from Scotland we may be able frove, or disprove any links. It will be great to sort this out. Kindest regards from beautiful Australia. (we live 3 hours north of Sydney). 2. Hi Anderson Cousin, I just read your email because I am on the Anderson Roots Web. Your Samuel Anderson if possibly related to the Andersons from Ireland that landed in Virginia in the 1600's. My direct Anderson is George with Samuel as a brother. If you look under colonial Andersons on the website for Roots, you may be able to match your Anderson line up. Did any of your Andersons migrate to Oregon? If so I can help you with that line. Happy Searching. 3. Glynda, you don't say a word about the son, Moses; he is the one who came to Texas before the Civil War that was in Brown Co so long; it was his descendants who perpetuated the Brown Co. Bloody Bill Story. You do say that Moses' older brother, William, also had the same story about one of his children. Is this a correct interpretation of what you said? I know only what is on the recorded documents for Moses' family. After the civil war, it was easy to follow those people in the censuses up to 1930. Since the Wm M. died in 1883, you might have the names of all his children. It is reasonable for both these brothers to have a son, Wm. Did you actually find William and his Scruggs wife in all the censuses in Brown Co, up until their deaths?? If you didn't, I can do that easily. I doubt that any Texas people believe this Brown County connection to "Bloody Bill", outside of Moses' family. They had to create so many scenarios to make their story fit the facts. I finally decided the son, William, had come home from the Civil War after being "lost" for awhile, and made the story up himself as an excuse for his absence from home and family. My Andersons have no connection to this family whatsoever. Always interested in more central Texas Andersons!!! 2. Thanks to both Mary's for you information. I have Noble Anderson born 1769 in PA. and died after 1850 in Cherokee, Georgia. He married Elizabeth Price. Noble was on the 1790,1800,1810 and 1820 Pendelton District SC.census in 1820 with 8 sons and a daughter. He moved to Rabun County,Georgia about 1830.He obtained land in the Cherokee Indian Lottery in Cherokee County,Georgia. He was recorded twice in that census. Children of Noble Anderson and Elizabeth: James Anderson Samuel Anderson born 1794 SC. d 1865 (Stone County MO., Buried Anderson Cemetery) William M. Anderson b abt.1803 in Pendelton Dist. SC; died 1883 in Ft.Griffith,Texas Moses G.Anderson b abt.1804 Samuel Anderson married Mary Mckinsie abt.1818. They had seven daughters. My Gr. grandmother was Martha Ellen Anderson b. 1819 and d 1899. The above William M. married Jane Scruggs . She was b. in SC and died in Brown County, Texas. They were the parents of William C. Anderson who is said to be the "BLOODY BILL" Anderson by these Texas folks. This story has been around for years. Hopefully there is a male descendent that will prove this Anderson line by DNA and set the record straight. I cannot help as my Samuel and Jane only had daughters. I am from Martha Ellen's first marriage to James Massey. I wonder if the son Charles Anderson on the 1860 census in Kansas or perhaps another brother may have family that would consider this Test. I thank you so very much for any help. Glynda Alston, Campbell

    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as "Mrs. DANBURG" which was taken at the Larson Studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Mr. DANBURG appearing to be in his 30's or 40's at the time it was taken. In addition to his name, some has also written "Signe DANBURG's Father" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate information regarding Signe Marcia DANBERG b. 4 Feb 1893 in Minneapolis, MN to parents Charles DANBERG and Marie ANDERSON. I'm hoping to locate someone from the family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of family. 1. 1810 Vintage Portrait (ANDERSON/MILLER)
    2. Hello All, The following is a copy of the email that I received from Minnie Ann of the VintagePhotos list that I have joined. Minnie Ann has okayed me sending this out to the lists because what she shared does work. I had posted about a portrait that has been in my family for years and is said to be of my grgr grandmother, MYRA MILLER, who is the mother to my gr grandmother, LOUELLA ANDERSON. One of Myra's husbands was WILLIAM ANDERSON, my grgr grandfather. My family is based out of Alabama around the Talladega area. The writing on the back of the picture says: L6096 Richards, Spring C August 8, 1810 If someone would like to see the picture and/or able to shed light on what the meaning of what was written on the back of the picture please email me off list and we can go from there. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Hi Terry, its just me ,Minnie again . The reason I said that I would try to tell you the date of the photo , is because the photo might have been moved from another frame to the one its now in and the writing may not be right . The numbers seem to be a serial number . The name's can be the person who took the photo and the one who framed it or the company name . I collect old post card and I have found that they can be cleaned without hurting them in any way by just putting baby powder on them and useing very soft tissue , wipe it very slowly and gently and years of dust etc. comes off and I have found that when I did that , I would often find things in the post card that I couldn't see before . I'm not saying you should do this with that photo but if it were mine ,I would because it might have a date or name or anything that might help , I would also do the back of the photo because if some one wrote in pencil on it it might come up . After I take clean tissues and wipe it till there is no more powder showing . Another thing I do , this time with old photos , I put white paper on the back of the photo and rub gently with a soft led pencil over the paper so as to pick up any old writing . Well, just a thought . Minnie Ann Terri Cross _Terrilcg@aol.com_ (mailto:Terrilcg@aol.com) Atlanta, Georgia A Diligent Family History Hunter
