Hi Anderson geneologists!!! I have come to the conclusion that the Anderson's that I am searching for are hiding in a very good spot! Does anyone out there have any Anderson's in Missouri during 1890-1950. I have Alonzo Anderson [ I think that this must have been his middle name and I am having a fit trying to find out anything about him] married to Rhoda [supposed to be full-blooded Cherokee]. They had several children one of which was I think John Edward Anderson born around 1904 [ he seems to have gone by the name of Ed] married to Grace Pearl Featherston in 1929. If anyone out there has any information that would help me it would be greatly appreciated. Even some pointers as to where I might go from here would be a biggggggg help. Daryl, Do you know where in TN the James Anderson children were born? I'm looking for Mary Anderson's family. Mary married Robert Price in Jackson Co TN in 1811, they may have moved to Jackson Co AL, then to Shelby Co TN where he died, and then she went to Tippah Co MS.

I found a Byron Anderson listed in the Muster Roll of the G 10 Inf & sent for his Civil War records. According to the Civil War records, Byron was born on Jan 11, 1839 in Darwin, married Hulda Besser, died bet 1920-23, possibly in Pittsburg, KS. Unfortunately, there is no mention of his parents' names but there is a good possiblity that he is a son of James B. Anderson & Nancy G. McClure, my gr-gr-grandparents. I found a James W. Anderson listed in the Muster Roll of the G 10 Inf & sent for his Civil War records. According to the Civil War records, James W. was mustered in at Darwin, IL, was married to America Archer, had a son named Archer, moved to Denver in the 1880's & died before 1916. Unfortunately, there is no mention of his parents. I am hoping James W. is a son of James B. Anderson & Nancy G. McClure, my gr-gr-grandparents.
