    2. A. Lynne Ashley
    3. Hello; I am looking for any papers/book written by Helen Anderson Hatmaker. She was known as the "family genealogist". I know Margaret Torbert McNair Kahler did write a family history of the NY branch of the Hatmaker families along with David Fritcher Hatmaker. Margaret Kahler was Helen's 1st cousin and David F. Hatmaker was Helen's uncle. Is anyone connected to Helen Anderson Hatmaker (1861-1943) sp. John Klein Fanny Anderson (1836-1904) sp. Stephen Crosby Hatmaker Hixon Vosburgh Anderson (1810-1877) sp. Martha Hollowell Beecher Holmes Anderson (1787-1834) sp. Rebecca Vosburgh Alexander Anderson (1765-1835) sp. Elizabeth Holmes and/or know of anything written by Helen Anderson Hatmaker, possibly an Anderson Family History? I only have sketchy information on my Anderson relatives but am willing to share what I have: Alexander Anderson was born somewhere in Scotland and died in Yates County, NY. He and his wife moved to Bluff Pt., NY about 1786. Beecher and his family lived in Chenango County, NY. Hixon and his family lived in Milo Center, Yates County, NY. Hixon was Justice of the Peace in Milo Center, NY. Fanny and her husband, a Methodist Episcopal Minister, lived several places including Milo and New York, NY and Troy, PA.. Helen Anderson Hatmaker and her husband, John Klein who was the Director of Hawthorne (Reform) School, lived in Pleasantville, NY. A. 3. In reply to: >In any inquirey concerning a county, it sure would help the readers for the STATE in which that county exists(ed) to be included. Thanks.....> I agree. Also, there have been so many postings lately that are northern states or Europe and I have to open all and read them to see where the line is from. It would really be helpful and save lots of time if the states or states/country could be included in the subject lines. Thanks.
