    3. I'm reposting my Anderson line again. Looking for any info on family of Noble and Elizabeth Price Anderson listed on 1850 census in Randolph County. Noble age 51, Mrs. Andrson age 47, Carroll age 17, James age 11, Thomas age 9 Julia Ann age 7. Parents are from Tenn children are all born in Illinois. There is a marriage record for Julia Ann Anderson on 19 Jan 1865 to William Allen in Randolph County. James Anderson later married Rachel Huff in Perry County and eventually moved to Oklahoma. If this looks familiar to anyone please respond. Debbie

    1. [ANDERSON-L] TIMOTHY & THOMAS F. ANDERSON
    2. I found Timothy Anderson in Franklin County, Georgia 1800-1810. Is this the Timothy Anderson that married Elizabeth Sloan? He is listed as "Timothey" on page 34 of 1800 tax list, "Timothy" on page 15 of 1801 tax list, "Timothey" on page 6 of 1803 tax list, and "Timothy" on page 2 of 1810 tax list. I also found Thomas F. Anderson in Franklin County, Georgia in 1819. Is this Thomas Farmer Anderson that wed Margaret Box in 1803 in Burke County, North Carolina? She may be the daughter of Samuel Box that was in Orange Co., NC in 1800. My Timothy Smith Anderson died in Cleburne Co., Alabama about 1884. Some of his children moved to Cullman County, Alabama. Interesting to note that buried in Cullman are several members of the Box family. I believe the Timothy Anderson on the tax lists above died in Tennessee about 1816. Does anyone know what happened to Thomas Farmer Anderson? Bill

    2. Thanx Claudia, I knew. Seems they moved around alot. Probly right before a census. I do know that most of the children of Henry ended up in Madison County, Fl. They had a son Jeremiah Wells Anderson, born 1831 and enlisted in the CSA from Lake City, Fl. Was killed at Sharpsburg. His brother ( my grandpa) Little Berry Andrew Cater was born 1833 in ga. and Married Matilda walker of Brooks Co., Ga. They are both buried in Madison at the Old Walker Cemetery. L.B.A.C. died in 1870 of pneumonia. Family bible says he had a musket ball in his lung from Sharpsburg. He enlisted in 1863 from Madison. Thanx for the help. Having a hard time with old Henry. Jane

    2. Thanx Charles ! Yeah I've been to lots of Courthouses during my research. Have marriage records from County. Problem is....nothing else. no parents etc. in book. Just date of marriage. No license required I guess. Probly no where to get one back then. Apparently they left Telfair shortly after marriage and moved all over Ga. before finally making it down to Fl. I think he must have been killed young because its hard to find him as a head of household in census or on tax lists. The search goes on. LOL Thanx for your response. Jane

    1. [ANDERSON-L] Harvey Anderson (IA)
    2. Robert Scott
    3. Since more people seem to be participating in the list of late, I thought I would try again to see if anyone can give me a lead on my research. I am trying to find out something about the background and forebears of HARVEY ANDERSON, who died about 1874 in Washington Co., IA. His wife's name was SOPHRANA KETCHUM, and she died about the same time. They had the following children: NELLIE (WALLACE) WILL GIBB CARRIE (CHALMERS) CHARLES b. 1872, d. 1947, married MARY EVA PAUL b. 1872, d. 1939 There may have been other siblings. I suspect that the Andersons were Associate or Associate Reformed Presbyterians. Harvey and Sophrana died when at least some of the children were very young. Charles Anderson, my great-grandfather, was raised by a family by the name of DIHEL. The family home, at least of the time of Charles' birth, was in or around Ainsworth, IA. Bob Scott

    3. I am not sure where they all went after Berry's death. But know Bartley went to Dade Co, Missouri (1870s). William's whereabouts were unknown in 1870. Mary Anderson Woodward was in Missouri, Richard stayed in Illinois and became Supt. of Schools in Perry. The others I am uncertain where they went, but they were in Perry Co. in the 1860s.
