I am looking for the parents of Ella Anderson, my great-grandmother. She was born July 7, 1872 in Sweden or Texas. She had an older brother named Mac Anderson. They were deserted by their parents as small children in Ellis Co., Texas near a town called Ferris, Texas. They didn't know who their parents were. Ella was taken in by the Neely family to raise and Mac was raised by the Weatherford family. Can anyone help me with this family of Anderson's. The parents just disappeared. Thanks, Jane Little McEndree, janemc@airmail.net.

Richard, Thanks so much for your input, I really appreciate any insight to any aspect of this I can get, however, I think politeness does go along way, and this case, it certainly has. Pat had no problem with my request as stated, but I do, again, appreciate knowing the 'correct' way to handle this! Thanks for your time and thoughtfulness in letting me know personally. Kris Anderson
Hello, Kris, from southern Virginia, I hope you won't mind a little helpful criticism? 8-) Unfortunately, while being polite is a great virtue that I wish more list users had, it doesn't help in a situation like yours. The only reason for this is that subscribing/unsubscribing and changes from list to digest [or vice versa] are normally handled automatically by pre-programmed computers. Or at least subscribe/unsubscribe requests are handled that way. I don't believe it's possible to simply say "please change my subscription from A to B". What you'll have to do [unless your problem has been solved by the time you read my message] is to send a message to Anderson-L-Request@Rootsweb.com that contains only 1 word -- unsubscribe. Then, once you've gotten a confirmation message saying that your address has been removed from the Anderson-L list of subscribers, you can take the next step. That step is to send a one-word message to Anderson-D-Request@Rootsweb.com [that word is subscribe]. After sending that message, the next time you check your mail, you should see a message confirming that you've been subscribed to Anderson-D. It may sound complicated, but it's actually quite easy. By sending messages such as yours to Anderson-L, it gives all the other subscribers something different to read, but might not get the results you want. Happy New Year! Hope this helps! David, My name is Mike Anderson and I would like to get your GEDCOM file on the Andersons. I have some Andersons that are from Wayne County Indiana and that is as far back as I can trace them. I would like to search the file to see if I can find some matches and help me with my research. Thank you very much. Mike Anderson mla@ionet.net -----Original Message----- From: David L.
