    2. Hold on!!! George & Elizabeth's marriage could have been when they were children. It wasn't unheard of for allied families to marry their children. Look for proof one way or the other before you discount it. John

    3. You have the same names in your family that I have in my family, Emeline, Mary, Cynthia, George Washington, Jesse B. Amanthia, Jane and Rebecca ....Mother was Mary A. and father was John anderson.. I believe they had Reuben and William but proof is hard to come by back in the very early 1800's... Let me know what all you do know and we will see what we can find.. John and Mary and the children came to Perry county after being in Dallas county in about 1820, maybe earlier... 2. Patricia Hardison, Ah, ha! So you are still at a standstill as well! I have been going through old files, etc. and still can't find a clue, but still believe the coincidences are too good not to have some kind of connection between our lines. My John Anderson was in Charlestown, VA by sometime in the 1790's as his son David was born there in 1797. David's first son was named Robert Ferguson Anderson who in turn named one of his sons Robert Ferguson Anderson. My David spent his adult life in the Hardy and Pendleton County areas of VA, but he could easily have had siblings who migrated to other areas of the country. I have NO information on David's siblings or John's spouse or origins, but I still believe the Ferguson middle name indicates a connection with a Ferguson family. Did you ever find out anything about the Ferguson lectures listed in a will? Susan in Milwaukee
