I am looking for information on a Charles Brady Anderson. Born 1750 VA. Married a Rebecca Anderson (Bailey) 1772. Her fathers will mentions him as Charles Brady Anderson. He has been listed in many records as Charles Anderson Brady, which leads to a dead end. My mother had a copy of the will about 20 years ago and it has since disappeared. The will was recorded in York County (VA?) and also in Scotland. The will lists all of Charles and Rebecca's children. Charles died in 12-28-1801 Garrard County KY. Rebecca's father was an Esquire...he did not die in America. His brothers were a William and a James. Thank you in advance for any help. Hello, I was researching my Crawford/Anderson lineage in Jackson Township, Porter County, Indiana. I found about 30 Andersons listed in a small cemetery. None were mine, but did find my Crawfords. This is a great site. Gives you census' and lots of other information. I don't know how to do links but this is how I found the cemetery. 1876 Jackson Township map, Porter County, Indiana. Hope this helps someone. Gladys --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.648 / Virus Database: 415 - Release Date: 4/1/04

Hey folks! I posted here a few months back about this, but I have new information, and I know we always have new people joining the list, so I thought I'd send it again with the new info. I'm looking for my great great grandfather, Peter Hunter Anderson b25 Mar 1851 in VA (possibly Botetourt Cty) m 14 Nov. 1877 Anna Mary Keiter (or Kreitzer) b. 1857 in OH (possibly New Germany, Greene Cty. Family history says she's from "Germany" but the census records say she and her parents were born in Ohio... but just NW of where they were in the 1880 census is "New Germany" so I'm stretching to think this might be what the info refers to). Her father's name is John Wesley, and I did find a John Wesley Keiter in Greene Cty, but not a John Wesley Kreitzer. They had a number of children, but since so much of my family history information has turned out to be off a little, I'm only sure about the kids I have documentation for: Estelia Florence Anderson b. 1879 and my great grandfather John Wesley Anderson b. abt. 1885. We have a picture of Peter Hunter Anderson with his siblings, and most of them look Native American. The family may have gone to Texas at some point. If anyone has any info they'd be willing to share, I'd love to hear it! From somewhere, I got the idea that Nancy J. also was from TN. I found a Nancy Anderson, 6, on the 1850 U.S. Ark Census, Phillips Co. living in the household of Nancy Pierson and her two grown sons. jotted alongside her name is the small number "81." Don't know what that means. In the same county, there's an Anna Anderson, but so far haven't been able to access that census, just the index. As you can tell, I'm grasping here. Another odd thing, Nancy J., her youngest son, Mack Horn, and his wife, Melissa Younger Horn, are all buried in the ANDERSON cemetery???? What a mystery. Thanks for your thoughts; I may be able to find something more in Tennessee. The Horns may have travelled in the company of the GLENN and TURNEY families. I'm thinking Joseph Horn's father was Jesse Horn, b 1783 PA.
